Awana Clubs

Who We Are, What We Do

Awana is a nondenominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children and teenagers with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Awana Clubs International supplies programs, materials and training for more than 12,000 churches in over 110 countries.  Their message to churches is simple: We’re here to serve you with a ministry that is all about fun with a purpose to win and grow kids for Christ!|

Reaching our young people is very important.  Did you know that 85% of all people who do not accept Jesus Christ by the age 18 never will?

That’s why Awana offers a series of clubs and programs geared to the needs of a particular age or grade.  As a vital part our local church ministry, Awana clubs and programs effectively reach young people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Here at Temple Hill Baptist Church, our Awana ministry works with other ministries to give our children and youth a well-balanced emphasis on knowing Jesus and how we can live for Him and serve Him.

Cubbies is the youngest age division in our AWANA program, serving kids age 3-5.  Kids will learn a verse each week, and are expected to complete a few small activities at home with their parents.  We encourage parents of these children to remain in the building during the event.  We will have a “Parent Nook” where you may hang out, have some free coffee, talk with other parents, read, etc.

Sparks is the next age division in our AWANA program, serving kids in K-2nd grade.  Students will have an opening group time, handbook time, counsel time, and game time.  They will be expected to complete a few small activities at home each week that will help them earn prizes!  We will have a “Parent Nook” where you may hang out, have some free coffee, talk with other parents, read, etc.

TNT is our oldest age division that we run in our AWANA program, serving kids grades 3rd-6th.  The night includes an opening program, handbook time, games, and counsel time (story time).  We will have a “Parent Nook” where you may hang out, have some free coffee, talk with other parents, read, etc while the program is going on.
